To meet the growing need for critical protection and supplies in the fight against COVID-19, we’re increasing capacity of Tyvek® protective fabric and working with our partners to get it to the front lines quickly. Additionally, we will be donating Tyvek® protective garments to the first responders and healthcare workers that need them most. A new mini documentary style film, produced by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions, tells a compelling story of how the company partnered with Eva Ferranti, a high-end fashion designer to overcome PPE shortages and supply a major European hospital with vital protective garments. The PPE proved critical to protecting doctors and nurses tasked with treating COVID-19 patients.

While health care workers worldwide respond to the coronavirus outbreak, hundreds of employees at DuPont’s Spruance manufacturing plant in Chesterfield County are working to ramp up production of a material that helps shield those front-line fighters from the virus.
