DuPont has been named a 2018 DiversityInc Noteworthy Company for its best practices in promoting a diverse workplace and culture. DiversityInc, a leading diversity publication and owner of two global websites devoted to promoting understanding and the business value of diversity-management initiatives, was the host of the celebratory event held in New York on May 1 at which DuPont was honored.  

“We are proud to be recognized by DiversityInc as a Noteworthy company for the fifth consecutive year,” said Lydia Mallett, director, Global Talent Acquisition & Organizational Vibrancy.  “We thank our employees for supporting DuPont’s strong history of valuing Diversity and Inclusion, rooted in our core value of Respect for People, and making these achievements possible.”

Since 2001, DiversityInc, has recognized “The DiversityInc Top 50” list which is comprised of the nation’s top companies for diversity and inclusion management. These companies excel in such areas as hiring, retaining and promoting women, minorities, people with disabilities, LGBT and veterans.

DiversityInc’s extensive annual survey yields an empirically-driven ranking based on recruitment, talent development, senior leadership commitment and supplier diversity. The 2018 competition was improved by new survey questions, increased emphasis on fairness over chasing numbers and more sophisticated analysis from DiversityInc’s data scientists.

The sold-out recognition event in New York featured 1,000 attendees from 122 companies and organizations.
