Buildings account for about 36% of global energy consumption and about 39% of global energy related CO2 emissions. To meet the international energy and environmental challenges, it’s essential that we find new ways to reduce energy consumption in buildings. If existing cost-effective and low-carbon building technologies were used more widely, building energy use could drop by as much as 20%.

DuPont Performance Building Solutions (PBS) is collaborating with the U.S. Department of Energy as part of the U.S.– China Clean Energy Research Center efforts to share and develop technology to drive building energy efficiency in the world’s two largest economies. DuPont PBS is also collaborating, by providing thought leadership and access to innovative building solutions, with the U.S. Green Building Council to help Cities and Communities globally in their drive towards Green Building Council’s LEED for Cities Certification program.
